Boost Radio's Big Ohio Expansion: A Musical Revolution
Get ready for a musical revolution as River Radio Ministries, in collaboration with Gateway Creative Broadcasting, introduces the vibrant and innovative Boost Radio to Ohio's airwaves. With a strategic launch on three stations and a fourth on the horizon, Boost Radio is set to captivate the next generation of Christian music enthusiasts across the state.
But here's where it gets exciting: Boost Radio isn't your typical Christian radio station. It's a bold fusion of Christian values and the vibrant world of Hip Hop, bringing a fresh and dynamic sound to the airwaves. And it's not just about the music; it's about connecting with the next generation on their terms.
The stations involved in this groundbreaking venture include 88.7 W204CU Findlay, 88.9 WHEI Tiffin, 90.1 WJEE Bolivar/Canton, 104.9 WCVO-HD2 Gahana/Columbus, 104.5 WQKT-HD2 Wooster, and soon-to-be 91.1 W216AH Ashland. These stations, owned by Soaring Eagle Productions, have already made waves by replacing their former 'Rise-FM' brand with River Radio Ministries' programming last November.
According to River Radio Ministries Program Director Josh Hooper, this expansion is all about reaching the next generation where they are. "These frequencies are strategically placed to serve the next generation of Christian music consumers, with vibrant college campuses within each broadcasting area," he says. "One of our main goals over the next three years is to bring new formats to the state of Ohio and reach more people with the Good News of who Jesus really is. We’re excited to partner with BOOST Radio to do just that through ‘Hip Hop Built Different.’"
Gateway Creative Broadcasting Operations Manager Mike Couchman adds, "BOOST Radio is thrilled to officially partner with River Radio Ministries. Their heart to reach Ohio with the love of Jesus, and do it with excellence, syncs up perfectly with ours. We’re excited to see how God moves."
But here's the controversial part: Boost Radio's approach to Christian music is not without its critics. Some may argue that blending Hip Hop with religious messaging could be seen as a compromise of traditional values. However, the team behind Boost Radio believes that this innovative approach is exactly what's needed to connect with the youth and spread the message of Jesus in a relevant and impactful way.
